Friday was our annual Make a Difference Day.. which basically consisted of playing cornhole in a parking lot. Can't complain too much. We had a ton of people come out and donate- tis the season! I headed up to Boone afterwards for the WCU/APP game with the girls. WCU actually ended up not sucking too bad, and held their own against the previous national champs. We went to this amazing little restaurant called Portofino's...and basically stuffed our faces.. caught up on eachothers lives, and drank our self silly. It was definitely a great weekend with some of my favorite girls!

Twi-hard.

So, a month or two ago- Sara, Tish and I decided that we should see New Moon in the theatre at Midnight when it opened. This seemed like an amazing idea, before we realized that the day after was our annual radio charity food drive- Make a Difference Day. Which means a full day of playing nice with the competition in a Walmart parking lot. We were told to arrive TWO HOURS before the movie started to assure that we could sit together- as they sold out SEVEN theatres. We were surrounded by what can only be described as screaming Twilight obsessed tweens. And even got the privilege of sitting next to these two twi-hards. Seeing as how we were about 10-15 years older than the majority of the theatre- I could have done with a few less "We love you Edwards," or squeals of delight when Jacob was shirtless (which by the way is the majority of the movie.) And yes, I mean you, Sara and Tish. very mature.

For $5

In the nursing home one evening, the old man looked over and said to the old lady, "I know just what you're wanting. For $5, I'll have sex with you right over there in that rocking chair."

The old lady looked surprised, but didn't say a word.

The old man continued, "For $10 I'll do it with you on that nice soft sofa over there, but for $20 I'll take you back to my room, light some candles, and give you the most romantic evening you've ever had in your life."

The old lady still said nothing, but after a couple minutes, she started
digging down in her purse. She pulled out a wrinkled $20 bill and held it
up.

"So you want the nice romantic evening in my room," said the old man.

"Get serious," she replied. "Four times in the rocking chair."

Fargo

Okay, Okay. I'll admit. I have a bit of a weird style at times and find myself picking up some pretty random accent pieces (i.e. when I insisted that if the celebs could wear hippy head bands, so could I.) So i found myself picking up this little plaid hat to rock. I like it. And yes, my coworkers will most likely make fun of me when I wear it on Friday to make a difference day, but maybe I will start a new trend. And hey, atleast my ears will be warm.

I.love.this.

Sweet you Rock.. and Sweet you roll..

NYE

So, for New Years every year, the radio station puts on a huge party at the Embassy Suites. A sit down dinner, open bar, and a hotel room to crash in sounds like a good time to me. Bucky Covington will also be playing this year. Now the question is, what to wear?! I look forward to this time of year every year- almost mainly for excuses to buy a new dress. This one might be on the top of my list! I am such a black dress fan- it just feels classy... you know, as classy as one can feel while double fisting free booze.
